What's Happening... 

Shona is now on maternity leave.

Selena will be running all puppy classes until I return so please contact her (click here) to book your puppy in to preschool. New Intermediate Good Manners courses will start again when I am back from leave, which hopefully will be around March/April.

We continue to support Oscar's Law to Help Close Down Puppy Factories

Visit Oscar's Law and join the fight to prevent puppies from being mass produced to supply to pet shops and the like. Puppies produced in puppy factories (or puppy mills or puppy farms as they are otherwise known) have a high incidence of behaviour problems, as well as genetic and health problems due to poor breeding practices. The breeding dogs and puppies are often kept in deplorable conditions and do not receive adequate or even close to adequate physical or medical care, and certainly do not receive appropriate behavioural or social care. Every puppy purchased from a pet shop continues to fuel this industry and it needs to stop. JOIN OSCARS LAW!

Positive Paws Dog Training uses modern positive force-free methods to train dogs of all ages to be good mannered, well behaved and socially savvy dogs. 

Positive Paws training classes are taught by fun and friendly progressive dog trainers and veterinary nurses with over 14 years experience and we are proud members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Australia and also The Pet Professional Guild.

Our lessons are designed to be fun and informative with comprehensive coverage of all aspects of dog ownership. Owners and dogs learn a multitude of useful and practical training cues and solutions and of course how to prevent those common problems. Whole family participation (including the children!) throughout the training is encouraged. 

Our training classes are located in Narellan, Picton, Thirlmere, Couridjah, and Catherine Field. 

Private one-on-one lessons can also be organised if required.

Our Training classes cover:

• Pet dog training and problem solving and prevention;

• Understanding dog body language and understanding how dogs learn and behave

• Tricks, Fun and Games

• Socialisation with other dogs and people and life as a dog living with humans

• Handling and settle down

• Comprehensive advice on general care, appropriate toys, environmental enrichment and stimulation

• Problem prevention and solving for common problems like jumping up, chewing, biting, digging, barking and housetraining.
